Job summary

GPI is seeking highly qualified Bridge Coatings Inspectors for projects across Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and other Midwest states. Inspectors will assess conformity to specifications, review submittals, and may travel to multiple job sites, including nights.

Candidates should have CIP 1 and Basic Coatings Inspector credentials, plus at least 1 year of bridge coating inspection experience. Preferred qualifications include SSPC Bridge Coating Inspector (BCI), SSPC C3 Supervisor, and Competent

Qualifications

• Must hold AMPP Coatings Inspector CIP 1 and Basic Coatings Inspector.
• Minimum 1 year of bridge coating inspection experience.
• Preferred SSPC Bridge Coating Inspector (BCI) certification.
• Preferred SSPC C3 Supervisor certification.
• Competent Person Training for Deleading of Industrial Structures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, accept, and/or reject work as detailed by specs or codes. Monitor waste materials and traffic control as specified.
• Prepare daily/weekly inspection reports on conditions, progress, weather and acceptability of work; other client reports as required.
• Travel to multiple job sites as needed.
• Some assignments may include night shifts.
