Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. in Jacksonville, AR is seeking a Sr. Test Technician on 1st shift to independently execute complex ammunition test plans and generate detailed reports. You will collaborate with the Test team and R&D to develop procedures and best practices.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 7–10 years in firearms/ammunition testing, with proficiency in high-precision measurement methods and advanced techniques such as high-speed video.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years as a Test Technician in the firearms and ammunition industry
• Experience with firearms handling and recognizing common ammunition defects
• Core ammunition test techniques: Pressure, Velocity, Dispersion, and Function
• Experience with advanced test techniques: High-speed video, Doppler Radar
• Maintain Range Safety Officer qualifications and range certification
• MS Office and Oracle EBS experience preferred
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication
• Collaborates with Test team and other departments regularly

Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively operate test equipment according to manuals, work instructions, or industry standards
• Independently follow complex test plans to execute testing of ammunition and components
• Analyze test data to provide periodic, accurate status reports to management
• May lead and volunteer for Continuous Improvement projects/tasks
• Participate in and sustain 5S Standards
• Follow all Safety and ISO procedures
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned
