Job summary

Capital One is seeking an AML Sr. Investigator I on the Sanctions Escalations team to assess complex sanctions alerts, document decisions, and support compliance initiatives across lines of business.

The role partners with senior advisors, performs regulatory reporting, and helps maintain the Compliance Risk Management Framework while building expertise in sanctions laws and regulations. This is a full-time role with opportunities to contribute to controls testing and data analysis.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year sanctions/AML/compliance/investigative experience
• 1+ year experience with MS Office or Google Suite

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and decisioning complex sanctions alerts
• Document alert decisioning clearly and thoroughly
• Assist in regulatory reporting
• Support lines of business in applying sanctions compliance requirements
• Participate in controls testing and sanctions-related validations
• Develop understanding of the Compliance Risk Management Framework and sanctions laws
• Assist in capturing, maintaining, and analyzing sanctions data
• Support more senior advisors on projects and reporting activities
