Job summary

Circle is seeking a Senior Analyst, AML Investigations, to join the Investigation Operations team. You will detect fraudulent activity, own end-to-end cases, and file SARs/STRs while collaborating with law enforcement and regulatory partners.

The role requires 4+ years of AML experience, knowledge of blockchain ecosystems, and proficiency with forensic tools. Excellent communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative or technical field.
• 4+ years AML alert review, investigation and reporting experience.
• Experience writing SAR/STR narratives and communicating findings to senior stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of blockchain ecosystems and evolving AML/CFT regulations.
• Experience with blockchain forensic tools (TRM Labs, Chainalysis, Elliptic).
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• SQL experience is a plus.
• Experience applying AI/automation to AML workflows.

Responsibilities

• Investigate complex AML alerts and escalations and draft SARs/STRs.
• Own cases end to end from review to filing decisions.
• Assist external parties (law enforcement, banking partners) and internal teams (policy, legal, Compliance Operations).
• Escalate risks to MLRO and support regulator/audit inquiries.
• Collaborate with data/tech teams to improve detection models and typologies.
• Provide training and feedback to IO analysts as needed.
