Job summary

Adyen seeks an AML Compliance Officer to join our Second Line team in Amsterdam. You will drive the evolution of the Customer Risk and CDD framework, ensuring scalable, data-driven controls across a global payments platform.

You will partner with Product, Engineering and Regulatory teams to translate regulatory requirements into operational guidelines, support audits, and maintain robust risk scoring while minimizing friction for customers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in financial crime, CDD/KYC framework design, or customer risk classification.
• Knowledge of data requirements, API workflows, and onboarding logic.
• Experience building, refining, or operationalizing CDD frameworks in complex organizations.
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
• Clear communication in English.

Responsibilities

• CDD framework: drive continuous maturity of global CDD framework and translate regulatory guidelines into processes.
• Customer onboarding: define data requirements and standards for onboarding and ongoing review.
• Customer risk scoring: assist design and implement risk-based approach.
• Product collaboration: translate compliance procedures into scalable, automated risk solutions.
• Operational alignment: design and review operational guidelines and 2nd-line oversight mechanisms.
• Audit and regulatory reviews: support audits by explaining risk scoring logic.
