Job summary

Adyen is seeking a Compliance Oversight Officer to join our fast-paced Compliance team in the United States. You will perform second-line QA testing across key risk areas, engage with risk, legal, finance and sales, and provide pragmatic guidance to support sustainable growth.

• 1-3 years experience in a second line compliance team, oversight function, or internal/external audit.

Responsibilities

• Execute second-line quality assurance testing across risks including onboarding, AML reviews, ongoing monitoring and terminations.
• Identify critical risks and partner with first line stakeholders to complete remediation.
• Contribute to operational efficiency and planning of QA programs.
• Support development of quarterly reporting on compliance program performance for management.
• Deliver training to teams to uplift oversight methodology and control adherence.
• Contribute to customer oversight reviews to identify risks and mitigations.
• Proactively create data-driven oversight solutions.
• Collaborate on development of the compliance program and governance initiatives.
• Advise on enhancement of compliance procedures as required.

Job description

• Our fast-paced Compliance team is looking for a Compliance Oversight Officer with experience in performing compliance oversight procedures in the payments and/or finance industry
• A successful candidate must have strong communication, critical thinking and analytical skills. This person must be able to work as a business partner to connect with a wide range of teams, including risk, legal, finance and sales, and provide pragmatic advice and guidance to build sustainable growth
• Execute second-line quality assurance testing procedures across various risks, including customer onboarding, anti-money laundering reviews, ongoing monitoring and terminations, in line with the compliance oversight program
• Identify critical risks to the business through quality assurance testing and partner with first line stakeholders to complete remediation
• Contribute to the operational efficiency, planning, and execution of new and existing quality assurance programs
• Support development of quarterly reporting on compliance program performance and deliver to management
• Deliver training to teams as part of uplifting oversight methodology and proper control adherence
• Contribute to customer oversight reviews to identify risks and assess corresponding mitigating controls
• Proactively create efficient and data-driven approaches to oversight solutions
• Collaborate with the compliance team on the further development of the compliance program
• Execute on initiatives set forth in the annual compliance governance program
• Support key initiatives that assess and enhance Adyen’s controls for core functions, such as onboarding, risk-based due diligence, and ongoing monitoring
• Drive the development of oversight methodology relating to first line business processes; and
• Advise the business on enhancement of compliance procedures as required
