Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) seeks a Senior Manager to oversee ambulatory clinics, with responsibility for strategic planning, coordinating multiple functions, and leading teams to meet patient-centered service goals. The role emphasizes collaboration with department leaders, quality and safety metrics, and process improvement across delivery settings.

The position requires a clinical/healthcare management background, strong data-driven decision making, and experience guiding large teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a clinical field, health care management, business administration or a related degree (or equivalent experience) required.
• Master’s degree in healthcare related field such as Nursing, Healthcare Administration or MBA is preferred.
• Five (5) years of management work experience in ambulatory care leadership role or appropriate clinical area required; demonstrated ability to work effectively with physician leaders; talent in the selection and mentoring of a high-quality, effective team; proven ability to lead change, organize teams, and delegate responsibility appropriately; proven ability to use data to drive performance improvement; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis, planning, implementation, and expenditures and budget tracking of major operational projects or initiatives.
• Provide recommendations to the leaders throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with leaders to establish operating procedures, enhance clinical and non-clinical workflows, increase productivity, and improve overall quality outcomes and operational efficiencies.

Education
