Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is seeking a Senior Manager to lead ambulatory care operations across one or more functional areas. You will partner with physician leaders to optimize workflows, drive patient-centered service, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities include budgeting, staff leadership, and implementing strategic initiatives that improve efficiency and care coordination in diverse delivery settings across the ambulatory network.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a clinical field, health care management, business administration or related degree (or equivalent experience) required.
  • Master’s degree in healthcare related field such as Nursing, Healthcare Administration or MBA is preferred.
  • Five (5) years of management work experience in ambulatory care leadership role or appropriate clinical area; demonstrated ability to work effectively with physician leaders; talent in the selection and mentoring of a high-quality, effective team; proven ability to lead change, organize teams, and delegate responsibility appropriately; proven ability to use data to drive performance improvement; strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience: 8 years progressive work experience and 3 years management experience

Responsibilities

  • Senior manager for one or more functional areas of a department or business unit.
  • Manages two or more professional and support staff including subordinate managers.
  • Provides recommendations to the leaders throughout the organization.
  • Plans, organizes, facilitates, monitors, and evaluates activities and functions of the department/functional business area based on goals.
  • Collaborates with leaders to establish operating procedures, enhance clinical and non-clinical workflows, increase productivity, and improve quality outcomes and operational efficiencies.
  • Acts as a thought leader in ambulatory quality and safety, coordination of care across the continuum, use of technological tools and solutions, metrics reporting, customer service, and process improvement.
