Job summary

The University of Chicago invites applications for the Assistant Director of Leadership Annual Giving to advance the College’s fundraising goals through targeted outreach aimed at alumni nationwide. You will qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors to build a robust pipeline of future donors and leaders.

The role emphasizes relationship building with alumni, faculty, and university partners, with a focus on strategic leadership gifts and a proven track record in fundraising.

Qualifications

• College or university degree required.
• 2-5 years of related fundraising or alumni relations experience.
• Knowledge of gift prospect management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements a coordinated fundraising strategy for The College alumni and leadership gift prospects.
• Manages a portfolio to achieve annual goals including visits, solicitations, proposals, and gifts.
• Develops cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans for donors capable of making gifts over time.
• Partners with Advancement colleagues to support Outreach, engagement, and solicitation efforts.
• Executes follow-up communications and prepares tailored proposals and stewardship materials.
