Job summary

RBC is seeking an Alternatives Investment Strategist for RBC US Wealth Management to develop and coordinate our alternatives ambitions within the Portfolio Advisory Group (PAG). The role supports RBC-WM financial advisors with expert market views and portfolio positioning across alternative asset classes.

You will publish insights, run webcasts, and collaborate across internal teams to deliver informed investment recommendations while building trusted client relationships in a dynamic team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics required.
• 10+ years of experience in the financial industry.
• 5+ years as an investment strategist or similar role.
• Series 7 & 66 licenses or ability to obtain within 180 days.
• Experience working with financial advisors and knowledge of complex investments.

Responsibilities

• Publish internal and external materials on the alternatives market.
• Organize and participate in webcasts on alternatives topics and outlooks.
• Support campaigns and website content with Marketing.
• Form market views across various alternative asset classes with committees.
• Review client portfolios with focus on alternatives for UHNW clients.
• Create and implement a proactive client relationship service model.
• Stay current on trends to inform investment recommendations.
• Develop actionable investment framework for alternatives.
• Communicate market views to clients via presentations and programs.
• Relate market developments to portfolio positioning for clients.
• Research model portfolios including alternatives.
