Job summary

RBC US Wealth Management seeks an Alternatives Investment Strategist to join the Portfolio Advisory Group. You will help develop and coordinate our alternatives ambitions, empowering advisors with asset-class insights and portfolio positioning.

You will publish market views, run webcasts, and collaborate with committees to shape strategic guidance for client portfolios containing alternative assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics.
• 10+ years in financial services.
• 5+ years as an investment strategist or similar.
• Series 7 & 66 license or ability to obtain in 180 days.
• Experience working with financial advisors.
• Knowledge of complex investment structures and esoteric investments.
• Wealth management and investment product expertise.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Publish articles and publications about the alternatives market.
• Organize and participate in webcasts on alternatives topics.
• Collaborate with Marketing to support campaigns and content.
• Work with Investment Committees to form market views across alts.
• Review client portfolios with UHNW advisors focusing on alternatives.
• Create proactive service model for client relationships.
• Stay current on trends and recommend investments.
• Develop an actionable framework to explain risks and opportunities.

Skills

Bachelor's degree in Finance orEconomy

10+ years financial industry

5+ years investment strategist

Series 7 and 66 licensed

Experience with financial advisors

Wealth management expertise

Asset allocation knowledge

Risk/return analytics
