Job summary

Fox Valley Fire is seeking an Alarm Technician II in Elmhurst, IL to install, service, and repair fire alarm systems. You will identify deficiencies, complete approved repairs, and verify systems meet NFPA codes and manufacturer requirements.

This role progresses from Alarm Technician I toward advanced troubleshooting and leadership responsibilities. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 years in alarm installation, inspection, testing, and service, with NICET

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 3 years of Alarm Installation, Inspection, Testing and Service experience.
Working knowledge of Alarm Systems, devices, and basic circuitry.
Ability to read and interpret inspection reports and system documentation.
Willingness to work independently in the field with escalation as needed.

Responsibilities

Install wiring, bend conduit, install devices for Alarm Systems.
Identify deficiencies and complete corrective repairs, including device replacement and circuit troubleshooting.
Execute follow-up service work from inspections to resolve deficiencies and ensure compliance.
Troubleshoot common fire alarm issues and verify system functionality after repairs.
Complete inspection reports and deficiency records using company systems.
Communicate findings and required repairs clearly with supervisors and customers.
Maintain tools, test equipment, and job sites in a safe, organized manner.
Support Alarm Technician I team members through on-the-job guidance.
Follow safety procedures and customer site requirements.
