Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation in Alpharetta, GA is seeking an experienced AIX/IBM Power infrastructure engineer to design, deploy, and manage enterprise platforms across cloud, network, storage, and middleware. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years in infrastructure engineering, with deep IBM Power technologies like PowerVM, VIOS, and HMC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies including cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, and middleware.

Responsibilities

• Achieve operational targets with major impact on AIX/Power engineering results.
• Design, build, manage, and implement enterprise AIX/Power platforms across cloud, network, storage, and middleware.
• Develop automation, monitoring, and optimization to ensure high availability and performance.
• Manage large AIX/Power infrastructure projects aligned with strategy and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to improve standards and processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues affecting performance and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with technology strategies, standards, and governance.
• Review designs, configurations, and procedures for consistency and knowledge sharing.
• Provide technical guidance and direction to infrastructure teams.
• Influence stakeholders to support business and technology objectives.
