Job summary

Space Kinetic is seeking a Senior Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) Engineer to lead the assembly, integration, verification, and testing of complex aerospace hardware. This hands-on role requires coordinating with mechanical, electrical, systems, software, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure hardware is assembled correctly and delivered on schedule.

The ideal candidate has significant aerospace hardware experience, strong CAD skills, and a track record of process improvement in AIT

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and hands-on aerospace AIT experience.
• Experience leading end-to-end AIT campaigns for spacecraft hardware.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings, CAD models, schematics, and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead assembly, integration, and test activities for aerospace hardware and subsystems.
• Develop and maintain assembly procedures, work instructions, and test plans.
• Plan mechanical and electrical integration including avionics, harnesses, and sensors.
• Provide hands-on engineering support on the manufacturing floor and drive root cause investigations.
• Plan environmental testing (TVAC, vibration, EMI/EMC) and perform functional checkouts.
• Coordinate with design, manufacturing, quality, and program teams to ensure readiness.
