Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks a Senior Service Product Specialist for AIS and GIS to act as the technical authority for service products and solutions in the US region. You will support field operations, engineering, and customers through advanced technical expertise across the equipment lifecycle, including maintenance, modernization, and training.

The role requires a bachelor’s in a technical field, 8+ years HV experience, and ability to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or related technical discipline.
Eight+ years in HV products, field service, or technical support environments.
Ability to interpret drawings, specs, manuals and test reports.
Experience with AIS, GIS, circuit breakers or related HV equipment preferred.
Willingness to travel up to 50% and travel domestically.

Responsibilities

Serve as the technical authority for AIS and GIS service products and solutions.
Provide advanced technical support to field service, sales, and customers.
Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions for complex service issues.
Support service projects, outages, upgrades, and emergency interventions.
Develop training materials and knowledge content for field execution and sales.
Assist Sales/Tendering with scope validation and risk assessment.
Collaborate across functions to improve service delivery, reliability and safety.
Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations.
