Job summary

The Boeing Company in North Charleston, South Carolina is seeking a Senior Airworthiness & Regulatory Engineer (Level 4 or Level 5) to join the Regulatory Administration and Airworthiness organization.

You will provide technical guidance on safety and airworthiness, coordinate with FAA and regulators, lead cross-functional teams, and develop action plans to advance certification programs across commercial aircraft programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical guidance and training relative to complex safety and airworthiness matters.
• Navigates through regulatory processes to identify effective solutions for complex problems and advises airplane programs.
• Coordinates with engineering teams, project administrators, and regulators to certify projects for commercial aircraft production teams.
• Reviews certification plans, writes letters to regulators, and understands compliance processes.
• Leads discussions with FAA, foreign regulators, and airplane program leaders.
• Leads cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and coordinate messaging with FAA.
