Boeing Chief Aerospace Safety Office (CASO) is seeking an Associate (Level 2) or Experienced (Level 3) Safety and Airworthiness Engineer to join its team in Everett, WA. This is a career opportunity in the Regulatory Administration & Airworthiness Compliance team within Boeing ODA (Organization Designation Authorization). The position provides exposure to a close interaction with a dynamic team of project managers, wider Boeing organizations, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
As an Individual Contributor, you will lead a variety of compliance-related projects, primarily conducting and managing Root Cause Analyses (RCA). You will apply problem‑solving models to issues identified by the FAA or internally, using project management tools and software to facilitate root cause analysis and investigations related to Airworthiness Non‑Compliance.
You will conduct research to determine non‑compliance with the ODA Procedures Manual or the Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs), provide oversight and guidance to resolve medium‑to‑complex certification/compliance technical issues, and clarify procedures related to FAA‑issued Letters of Investigation, Informal or Formal Compliance Actions, Internally driven Voluntary Disclosures, or Self‑Audit findings, and Part 25 Airworthiness Non‑Compliance.
This person will coordinate closely with internal stakeholders and the FAA, organize and conduct meetings as required to resolve outstanding issues, and manage cross‑functional, multi‑team coordination between Engineering, Regulatory Administration, Safety, Quality, and other organizations. Daily duties include ensuring regulatory project milestones are met, creating and reviewing documents for internal and external stakeholders including the FAA, and tracking assigned action items in support of company performance goals.
