Job summary

Lochner is seeking an experienced airport planning professional to join our aviation team in Lenexa, KS. You will lead master planning, facility programming, and CAPM-related tasks to support airport system development.

The role requires 4+ years in airport planning, strong NEPA knowledge, and proven client development abilities. Collaborative, hybrid work and opportunities to influence projects across the US are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aviation management or similar program.
• 4+ years of experience with airport planning projects.
• Demonstrated knowledge of NEPA regulations and guidelines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Project management experience.
• Business development experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop airport master plans and facility planning documents.
• Manage SOPs, SOQs, interviews, and planning studies.
• Direct subconsultants, schedules, cost estimates, and reports.
• Review NEPA documents and ensure adequate analyses.
• Lead coordination with agencies and stakeholders.
• Prepare planning exhibits using AutoCAD, GIS, and related tools.
• Build and maintain client relationships and contribute to capture planning.
