Job summary

Hanson Professional Services, Inc. is looking for an Associate Project Manager in Aviation Planning. You will lead airport planning tasks and coordinate with government bodies and clients across regulatory frameworks to deliver complex projects.

The role requires a BA/BS in Planning, Aviation Management, Civil Engineering or related field and at least eight years of airport planning experience, with strong FAA knowledge and leadership. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Aviation Management, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of airport planning experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Strong working knowledge of FAA advisory circulars and orders.
• Experience building relationships with clients, airport boards, FAA and regulatory bodies.
• Preferred: Master’s degree and certifications (AICP, AAE, CM, LEED, ENV SP).
• Proven project manager experience and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare airport master plans, layout plans, site studies and related planning tasks.
• Assist aviation market planning programs and grant applications.
• Present analysis results via memoranda, reports, and presentations to officials.
• Contribute to proposals, scope of work, and external stakeholder engagement.
• Coordinate with clients and project teams; overtime may be required to meet deadlines.
• Travel to client sites or regulatory agencies as needed.
