Job summary

City of Dallas is seeking a Senior Airport Communications Specialist to coordinate between airport users, document critical information, and notify affected parties to ensure safety and compliance at Dallas Love Field (DAL). The Senior ACS leads ACS staff, guides shifts, and drives projects while assisting with training new hires.

Responsibilities include liaison duties, incident coordination, recordkeeping, and effective use of communications systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Four (4) years of experience in airport communications center, airport operations, airport security, or aviation emergency management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Emergency Management, or Communications may meet the minimum qualifications.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record are required.
• AAAE ACE-Communications/ACE-Operations/CM/AAE or equivalent certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between the airport and all stakeholders (customers, tenants, staff) and respond to inquiries with information on airport operations and resources.
• Coordinate incidents, events, and requests with Aviation staff.
• Maintain and track records of all communications; ensure proper reporting and safe handling of issues.
• Use communications technology to send messages to airport stakeholders.
• Input and submit various work orders accurately to ensure timely completion.
• Respond to alerts and emergencies, notifying all necessary parties and coordinating information sharing.
