Job summary

Yulista Holding, LLC is seeking a Personal Equipment Technician to manage, inspect, and maintain aircrew flight equipment (AFE) and life-support systems in support of T-38 and WB-57 missions. The role involves scheduling inspections, ensuring readiness, and handling related inventories at our facilities in Houston.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of life-support experience on fixed-wing aircraft, familiarity with NAMIS documentation, and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years of aircraft maintenance life support experience with fixed wing commercial, Government or DOD aircraft.
• Experience supporting a NASA/DoD contract.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, maintains, packs and adjusts aircrew flight equipment such as flight helmets, oxygen masks, parachutes, flotation devices, survival kits, helmet mounted devices, aircrew night vision and other ocular systems, anti-G garments, aircrew eye and respiratory protective equipment.
• Repairs fabric and rubber components, including protective clothing, thermal radiation barriers, flotation equipment, and various parachutes.
• Supports high-altitude operations involving WB-57 aircraft, including the maintenance, inspection, and operational readiness of Full Pressure Suits and associated life support equipment.
• Candidates will ensure all pressure suit equipment—regulators, controllers, and related systems—are maintained to the highest standards for pilot safety and mission success.
• Evaluates problems and determines the feasibility of repair or replacement related to inspecting and repairing fabric, rubber equipment, and parachutes.
• Evaluates work orders for fabrication of authorized items.
• Installs and removes aircraft-installed AFE.
• Uses various types of test equipment such as altimeters, oxygen testers, leakage testers, radio testers, and other types of testers to conduct reliability testing on AFE.
• Maintains inspection and accountability documentation on AFE issued to aircrews or prepositioned on aircraft using NAMIS.
• May perform Designated System Inspector (DSI) duties.
• The Life Support Specialists may be required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
• Support/Lead water survival training courses in support of aircrew qualifications and NASA Center operations.
