Job summary

TEL Staffing & HR is seeking an Upholstery Technician to design, fabricate, and install aircraft interior upholstery and trim items in a fast-paced shop in Dallas. You will assist the Shop Lead by overseeing projects, guiding co-workers, and mentoring others on safety and quality practices.

The role requires 4 years of upholstery experience (2 in aviation preferred) and strong ability to read drawings and follow specifications. Expect on-site work with standard and overtime shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with upholstery experience.
• Aircraft upholstery experience preferred (2 years) or 6 years commercial upholstery.
• Advanced knowledge of upholstery and sewing processes.
• Ability to read specifications and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install seat covers, curtains and assemblies for aircraft interiors.
• Interpret material specs and drawings to meet design requirements.
• Sew and install panel covers to meet safety and quality standards.
• Use Corridor to create parts demand, track squawks and sign off work.
• Mentor lesser skilled technicians and support Lean improvements.
