Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership for aircraft systems products and engineering functions. The role drives technical direction, system development, integration and certification efforts, and acts as a subject matter expert across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• 6+ years of experience in aerospace systems engineering, avionics development, aircraft integration, or related engineering disciplines.
• 2 years’ experience with system requirements development, architecture, integration, verification, and validation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for aircraft systems products and engineering functions.
• Serve as the technical owner for assigned product areas, capabilities, or engineering disciplines.
• Establish technical strategies, roadmaps, and development approaches that support business and customer objectives.
• Drive technical decision-making and resolve complex engineering challenges.
• Coordinate efforts across systems, software, hardware, safety, certification, and verification teams.
• Develop and manage system requirements, architectures, interfaces, and integration strategies.
• Lead requirements decomposition, allocation, verification, and validation activities.
• Perform system analysis to support product decisions.
• Ensure compliance with engineering processes, industry standards, and customer requirements.
• Lead system integration and verification activities for assigned products or functions.
• Support laboratory, ground, and flight test activities.
• Define verification approaches and certification strategies.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the development lifecycle.
