Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Senior Aircraft Sheetmetal Technician to join our Columbus, MS team. You will install, fit, and assemble sheet metal components for rotorcraft, reading blueprints and ensuring top safety and quality standards.

This onsite role requires six years of sheet metal experience, strong reading of technical drawings, and a dedicated focus on craftsmanship and safety. English proficiency is essential for team collaboration and compliance with aerospace standards.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of aircraft sheet metal experience, preferably rotorcraft.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams and engineering drawings.
• Experience with fabrication, repair modifications and structural assembly.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Install sheet metal parts and assemblies on aircraft while ensuring structural integrity and safety
• Fit and assemble skins, frames, stabilizers, tail booms and helicopter sub-assemblies
• Drill, fit, rivet and modify aircraft structures
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
• Develop patterns/templates to improve manufacturing accuracy
• Apply aerospace fabrication and repair practices
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
• Use production tools and equipment including hydraulic lifts
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals and quality standards
