Job summary

Airbus Helicopters, Inc. is seeking a Senior Aircraft Technician – Sheetmetal (Contract) to join the Retrofit team in Columbus, MS. This temporary contract position is staffed via a third-party vendor and could be extended or shortened as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum six years of experience working on aircraft sheetmetal, preferably rotorcraft.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and diagrams for fabrication and repair.
• Current A&P license is a plus.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Install sheet metal parts and assemblies in aircraft without compromising structural integrity or systems.
• Fit and assemble skins, frames, and sub-assemblies; drill, fit, and riveting of helicopter components.
• Assist in developing patterns/templates to streamline manufacturing and ensure proper dimensions.
