Job summary

Airbus Helicopters, Inc. in Columbus, MS seeks a Senior Aircraft Technician - Sheetmetal (Contract) to join our Retrofit team.

You will install sheet metal parts and assemblies in aircraft, ensuring installations do not compromise structure or systems operations. This contract position is with a third-party vendor and offers exposure to UH-72A Lakota and H-125 projects in a dynamic manufacturing environment in Columbus, MS.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six (6) years of experience working on aircraft sheetmetal.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and diagrams.
• Current A&P license is a plus.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Install sheet metal parts and assemblies in aircraft; ensure installations do not endanger structure or systems operations and functions.
• Fit and assemble skins, frames, and other components; drill, fit, and rivet sub-assemblies including tail booms and stabilizers.
• Assist in developing patterns or templates to simplify manufacturing processes and ensure proper dimensions.
