Job summary

Ateeca Inc in Wichita, Kansas seeks an experienced Senior Mechanical Systems Design Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and modify mechanical systems for complex aircraft programs. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably within aerospace or aircraft industry.
• Knowledge of FAA, EASA, and/or TCCA regulations.
• Knowledge of CFR Part 25 aircraft design requirements.
• Experience coordinating with suppliers, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering documentation including specifications, mechanical drawings, design documentation, and reports related to aircraft mechanical system modifications.
• Perform mechanical systems design and integration activities for Part 25 aircraft.
• Collaborate with suppliers, internal engineering teams, manufacturing, and other technical disciplines.
• Support engineering change management through research, concept development, design reviews, trade studies, impact analyses, and implementation.
• Develop specifications for component selection and integration.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production, build, installation, and testing issues with suppliers and internal teams.
• Support development of statements of work, technical proposals, and bids for new customer requirements.
• Review supplier documentation and internal engineering work packages for technical accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate aircraft configurations and requirements for modified mechanical systems.
• Provide technical guidance and engineering input on a wide range of mechanical systems design and integration challenges.
• Work within a multidisciplinary engineering environment to support projects through completion.
