Job summary

Axius Group in Wichita, KS is seeking a Senior Engineering - Hydromechanical to lead definition, design, and certification of aircraft hydro-mechanical systems including flight control, hydraulic, and landing gear components. You will partner with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and compliance.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical or aerospace engineering, 7–10 years of relevant experience, and proficiency with CATIA, MATLAB, and Simulink.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
• 7–10 years of relevant engineering experience required.
• Experience with hydro-mechanical system design, integration, testing, and certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support integration of flight control, hydraulic, and landing gear systems through design, testing, and certification activities.
• Coordinate development between system suppliers and work packages to meet program objectives.
• Ensure design, validation, certification, and delivery of hydro-mechanical systems.
• Author, review, and approve development deliverables, qualification reports, and certification documentation.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve technical issues in a cross-functional environment.
• Review system design data, supplier analyses, and certification evidence for quality and compliance.
• Validate requirements and performance through design reviews, rig testing, and aircraft testing.
• Define and execute qualification and certification tests with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Liaise with stress, loads, reliability and maintainability, safety, and operations support teams.
• Comply with company policies and perform other duties as assigned.
