Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an experienced Principal Product Trainer - Aircraft Maintenance to join our team at Edwards AFB, CA. The role focuses on establishing maintenance training systems, delivering classroom and hands-on instruction, and managing training records.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree with relevant experience or a master’s with fewer years, experience in avionics/low observable maintenance, and the ability to obtain SAP clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with 3 years of related experience; or 9 years of related experience in lieu of formal degree.
• Experience in military or civilian aircraft Avionics or Low Observable maintenance.
• Must be willing to travel worldwide for at least 25% annually in support of statement of work.
• Must hold an Active US Government Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Establishing and directing maintenance training systems and instructing to provide technical knowledge for safe maintenance of aircraft.
• Providing training records management for assigned personnel and work centers.
• Providing formal instructor training to other Maintenance Trainers.
• Analyzing operating problems to identify training needs and develop programs.
• Writing, editing, and sustaining training material from manuals, process documents, and drawings.
• Guiding divisions in determining training needs and developing maintenance training programs.
• Maintaining program-wide training and qualification record systems.
• Staying current with technical developments and teaching methodologies.
• Initiating and executing small training projects with minimal oversight.
