Job summary

Bombardier Learjet Inc. in Tucson is seeking a Day Shift - Supervisor, Operations to lead maintenance teams on aircraft systems and shop floor activities. The role requires coordinating maintenance, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with FARs and site procedures.

The ideal candidate has several years of aircraft heavy/line maintenance experience, a valid A&P certificate, and proven leadership abilities, with strong communication and planning skills to drive safety and productivity.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of aircraft heavy/line maintenance experience.
Minimum 2 years leadership/supervisory experience (Aircraft Maintenance preferred).
A&P Certificate or otherwise appropriately certificated under FAR part 65.
Working knowledge of FAA Regulations (e.g., part 91, 121, 135, 145).
Experience with jet aircraft maintenance inspection programs.
Knowledge of EH&S rules applicable to maintenance operations.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to develop people and teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Training skills to provide employee training.
Planning and organization to coordinate workload.
Computer skills for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, etc.

Responsibilities

Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements.
Encourage a safe work environment by supervising a safety program with audits.
Supervise assigned employees and area(s), including scheduling and reviews.
Coordinate unscheduled aircraft maintenance at non-fixed locations.
Supervise maintenance per manuals, procedures and FARs.
Oversee resources to maximize productivity and minimize DOI.
Submit engineering support requests in direct support of operations.
May act on behalf of Customer Project Manager during absence.
May support UMT coordination of tooling and parts and aircraft return-to-service.
Administer team policies and procedures.
Manage time keeping system and attendance.
Coordinate technical shop floor issues.
Facilitate DMM meetings with departments and shops.
Monitor housing and facilities for compliance with 14 CFR 145.103.
Identify best practices and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
Engage in BAS Network Database and transfer SAP Work Orders.
Engage in BAS Network Reporting (Shop Floor Efficiency).
