Job summary

West Star Aviation, an East Alton, IL-based MRO, seeks a Gulfstream Team Lead, Interior Technician to supervise interior removal, installations, and modifications.

You will manage crews, coordinate scheduling, train staff, perform quality checks, and interface with customers while ensuring FAA compliance and high safety/quality standards in a hangar environment. On-site, full-time, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of aircraft interior removal and installations.
• Experience supervising four or more technicians.
• 4+ years in heavy modifications on corporate aircraft.
• FAA paperwork knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage crews by communicating with Interior Crew Leaders and staff, determining flow for completing assignments.
• Perform quality checks, supervise and assign personnel on daily activities.
• Perform training, coaching and mentoring of crew leads to develop job knowledge and performance.
• Prepare and deliver performance evaluations of assigned team members.
• Assist with engineering on design for major modification projects.
• Work independently on projects when required.
• Effectively communicate in English.
• Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
