Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking an Interior Installation Technician Senior for the Savannah area, on the second shift. You will remove, install, and fabricate aircraft interiors, mentor other technicians, and coordinate with supervision to ensure compliance with FAA and company quality standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of relevant experience; aerospace background is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3 years in installation/fabrication; aerospace exp preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering docs; use hand/power tools.
• Must read/write/speak English; strong communication; able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Mentor and train other Interior Installation Technicians; adapt to schedule changes.

Responsibilities

• Safely remove, install, and fabricate aircraft interiors (galleys, closets, panels).
• Coordinate with supervision to ensure FAA paperwork and quality specs.
• Mentor and train other Interior Installation Technicians; review work prior to sign-off.
• Lead tasks to procure required materials and documentation.
• Use material tracking system to create parts demand and sign-off work.
• Follow SOPs; maintain shop tools and equipment.
• Prepare and install interior items per procedures and standards.
• Remove/install nut plates, inserts, and fasteners.
• Follow safety and housekeeping policies; address unsafe conditions.
• Assist technicians with maintenance requirements.
• Adapt to sudden schedule changes.
• Develop and implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma.
