Job summary

AECOM is seeking a creative, senior Air Quality Project Manager to lead air permitting and compliance initiatives from our Chelmsford, MA office with hybrid work options. This role supports the air permitting and regulatory programs across client projects.

Key responsibilities include developing permit packages, strategies, and inventories; mentoring junior staff; and delivering proposals with accurate cost estimates. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil or chemical engineering, biology, geology or natural sciences or similar field + 8 years of experience or equivalent.
• 6 years of air quality permitting and regulatory compliance experience.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients to develop strategies for compliance and flexibility while meeting scope, budget and schedule.
• Prepare air permit application packages and air emission inventories.
• Develop air permitting strategies and perform regulatory reviews.
• Mentor junior and mid-level staff and support technical growth.
• Prepare proposals and cost estimates.
