Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Air Quality Engineer for our Chelmsford, MA office, within the air permitting and compliance group. Responsibilities include preparing permit applications, developing permitting strategy, reviewing air regulations, and compiling emission inventories.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree in environmental, civil or chemical engineering with 4+ years of air quality experience, strong writing and communication skills, and the ability to work well in teams;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil or chemical engineering or similar field plus 4 years of experience
• 4 years of air quality permitting and regulatory compliance experience
• US citizenship is required
• Valid driver's license required and able to pass MVR review

Responsibilities

• Prepare air permit application packages
• Develop air permitting strategy
• Review air regulations and ensure compliance
• Prepare air emission inventories
• Prepare proposals and cost estimates
• Collaborate with clients to maintain compliance and flexibility while meeting scope, budget and schedule
• Demonstrate strong communication and technical writing skills
