Job summary

Chemours is seeking an Environmental Engineer focused on Air Quality to join our Environmental Center of Excellence. The role reports to the Director – Environment and Remediation and supports multiple sites across the United States with potential remote work.

Responsibilities include guiding LDAR, stack testing, dispersion modeling, and permitting; advising on air quality compliance and technology choices; and participating in industry committees to influence proposed regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
• 10–15 years of relevant work experience, including 10+ years in air quality.
• Expertise with U.S. air quality regulations.
• Knowledge of international air quality regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to achieve regulatory compliance and oversee LDAR, stack testing, modeling, and permitting.
• Support air permitting and evaluate regulatory applicability for projects.
• Perform site environmental audits at plant sites.
• Engage with industry committees and communicate regulatory updates.
• Collaborate with sustainability leadership on initiatives.
• Monitor regulatory trends and drive continuous improvement.
