The role requires a PE license or the ability to obtain one within six months, 10+ years of air quality permitting experience, and strong modeling, technical writing, and client-relations skills. You’ll mentor junior staff and support business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within six months.
• 10+ years of experience in air quality permitting and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage air quality permitting projects with multidisciplinary teams.
• Conduct air quality assessments and emission inventories for regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and review air permit applications ensuring accuracy and regulatory adherence.
• Interface with regulatory agencies to advocate for clients during permit negotiations and approvals.
• Provide technical guidance on compliance strategies, emission control technologies, and best practices.
• Perform air dispersion modeling and risk assessments to evaluate emissions impacts.
• Stay current with evolving air quality regulations and industry trends.
• Mentor and train junior staff and contribute to business development.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate air quality into broader initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
