Job summary

Ramboll is seeking an Air Quality Managing Consultant to join our Environment & Health division in the US. The role focuses on air permitting, regulatory compliance, emissions analysis and modeling for chemical and pharmaceutical clients.

You will mentor staff, manage projects and interface with clients and agencies to enable sustainable regulatory solutions. The position supports multiple US locations with Arlington, VA as preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related experience in air quality permitting and compliance, with focus in chemical/pharmaceutical sectors.
• History managing consulting assignments in a consulting environment.
• B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering preferred; related fields also acceptable with relevant experience.
• Ability to externally manage client and regulatory agency relationships and internally manage staff and priorities.
• Ability to train junior staff and lead a project team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare air quality permit applications.
• Conduct air permitting/compliance regulatory reviews.
• Manage projects and act as technical lead; oversee staff on complex projects.
• Maintain client relationships and develop deliverables to meet client needs.
• Interprete local, state, and federal environmental regulations and communicate findings.
• Conduct site visits and maintain regular client contact.
• Prepare plans, reports, permit applications and other project documents; lead technical evaluations.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
