Job summary

Ramboll US Corporation seeks an Air Quality Managing Consultant to lead permit applications and regulatory reviews within Ramboll's Air Sciences Group in Arlington, VA (preferred) or other US locations.

You will manage projects, mentor staff, and maintain strong client relationships while guiding environmental compliance initiatives for chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. The role offers diverse projects and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related experience, largely in air quality permitting and compliance, with a focus in the chemical and/or pharmaceutical sector.
• History managing consulting assignments in a consulting environment.
• BS/MS in Chemical Engineering preferred; related degrees acceptable with applicable experience.
• Ability to externally manage client and regulatory agency relationships and internally manage staff and competing project priorities.
• Ability to train and utilize junior consulting staff, and experience leading a team on projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare air quality permit applications.
• Conduct air permitting/compliance regulatory reviews.
• Manage projects and serve as the technical lead overseeing and training staff on complex projects.
• Manage client relationships and deliverables to meet client needs efficiently.
• Interpret local, state, and federal regulations, draft determinations, and communicate findings.
• Conduct site visits
• Maintain regular contact with clients and develop proposals for environmental compliance work
• Prepare plans, reports, and permit applications; lead technical data evaluations
• Manage technical, schedule, and budget elements of projects
