Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a senior software engineer to design, build, and operate large-scale, distributed security detection systems in the AI threat detection domain. You will collaborate with scientists to translate research into production-ready solutions for GuardDuty at AWS scale.

You will lead design reviews, drive full SDLC, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure resilience and low operational load. Strong cloud and ML/MLOps experience is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate large-scale, distributed security detection systems.
• Extend GuardDuty into AI Threat Detection domain for AI models and generative AI apps.
• Collaborate with scientists to translate research into production systems.
• Drive full software development lifecycle from planning to deployment.
• Conduct design and code reviews to improve architecture and performance.
