Job summary

Amazon GuardDuty is seeking a senior software engineer to advance AI threat detection and scale security analytics for AWS customers. You will work with researchers and engineers to translate novel anomaly detection and ML ideas into production systems.

You will participate in the full SDLC, contribute to highly available services, and handle on-call duties on a rotating schedule. The role demands strong design, distributed systems, and cloud experience in a customer-facing environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for large-scale systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related experience.
• 1+ years of building large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications.
• 1+ years of OO design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Math or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate large-scale, distributed security detection systems.
• Extend capabilities into AI Threat Detection for AI models and generative AI apps.
• Collaborate with scientists to translate research into production systems.
• Lead full software development lifecycle from planning to deployment and ops.
• Conduct design and code reviews for architecture and scalability.
• Participate in on-call duties and ensure operational excellence.
