Job summary

Vanguard is seeking an AI Threat Detection Engineer, Senior Specialist to build AI-driven capabilities that enhance Security Operations Center effectiveness. You will lead automation, real-time threat detection, and incident response efforts, collaborating with senior engineers to deliver secure, scalable SOC solutions.

This role requires 4+ years programming (Python/Java/Shell), 5+ years cloud experience (AWS/Azure), and hands-on work with SIEM, SOAR, and AI/GenAI.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on programming or scripting (Python/Java/Shell).
• 5+ years cloud platform experience (AWS or Azure).
• 4+ years creating automation solutions (SOAR, GitHub).
• 4+ years working with security technologies or SOC operations.
• Exposure to AI/GenAI/LLM development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and respond to escalated security alerts, incidents, or investigations.
• Identify real-time attack patterns and propose mitigation strategies.
• Develop and maintain security controls (alerts, rules, policies) for security platforms.
• Design and optimize AI agents to streamline SOC operations and workflows.
• Collaborate with security, engineering and platform teams to deliver AI-enabled solutions.
