Surefire Cyber is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (AI Software and Ops) to build greenfield Python applications with agentic AI workflows. You will own critical infrastructure, ship production software across the full stack, and operate AWS-based systems from dev to production.

The team runs on a 2-week sprint cadence and values fast iteration and clear architectural decisions. You will contribute across backend Python, React frontends, and AWS infra, coordinating with CI/CD pipelines, and

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with production-ready code.
• Full-stack capability across backend (Python, API design, databases) and frontend (React).
• Production-level AWS experience (VPC, EC2/ECS/Lambda, IAM, RDS, S3, Kubernetes).
• Terraform proficiency as a primary tool for infrastructure.
• CI/CD pipeline experience at production scale (GitHub Actions).
• Ability to work autonomously on a small team, shipping fast in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Build greenfield Python applications using agentic methods and AI workflows.
• Architect scaffold layer coordinating multi-agent pipelines and context injection.
• Integrate agentic systems with a GitHub-based knowledge store for engineering work.
• Design and implement RESTful and event-driven APIs across Python backends and React frontends.
• Own AWS infrastructure and CI/CD, including Kubernetes and Terraform.
