Job summary

Bot Auto is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Applied AI to architect, build, ship, and operate production-grade AI and agentic systems across Bot Auto.

You will own end-to-end design of backend services, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure for real-world workflows, partnering with cross-functional teams.

Requires deep experience with Python, TypeScript/JavaScript or Go, distributed systems, and LLM/agent tooling to deliver robust, scalable AI products in production.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience architecting, building, shipping, and operating production-grade AI agentic applications.
• Backend and full-stack capability across services, APIs, databases, state, and web apps.
• Strong Python and TypeScript/JavaScript or Go.
• Understanding of distributed systems, data modeling, transactions, and event-driven architectures.
• Cloud infrastructure, containers, CI/CD, observability, security, and production operations.
• Deep knowledge of LLM/agent systems, tool calling, memory, and guardrails.
• Experience handling production issues: nondeterministic failures, latency, and costs.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and end-to-end implementation of production agentic products and workflows.
• Design boundaries between deterministic software, workflow engines, databases, and probabilistic agent reasoning.
• Build and review backend services, APIs, full-stack apps, and operator/user tooling for agentic workflows.
• Design agent orchestration, tool contracts, workflow state, memory, retrieval, approvals, retries, and rollback.
• Design production data architecture, including relational schemas, state persistence, caching, events, and consistency.
• Integrate AI systems with enterprise tools, internal APIs, data platforms, ensuring permissions and auditability.
• Collaborate with infrastructure on cloud architecture, containers, CI/CD, queues, observability, security, scaling, cost.
• Establish reusable engineering patterns and translate high-value workflows into reliable products.
