MetAntz, a fast-moving AI startup in Palo Alto, seeks experienced software engineers who thrive in ambiguity and want to own end-to-end services from design to production. You will build frontends, backends, and cloud-native distributed systems, delivering reliable APIs and scalable architecture.

The role requires deep coding expertise, strong collaboration with product teams, and a passion for high-quality software.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on developer capable of contributing code in an early-stage startup.
• Must be willing to work from the Palo Alto office in the SF Bay Area.

Responsibilities

• Build production-quality products and APIs across frontends, backends, and cloud-native distributed systems; ship REST/GraphQL/gRPC interfaces with thoughtful versioning and security.
• Own design, implementation, and production outcomes with rapid iteration and bias for action.
• Write rigorous unit and integration tests with meaningful coverage and clear documentation, including AI-assisted code where applicable.
• Prototype and productionize LLM-dependent features, manage prompts, retrievals, and memory with attention to latency and reliability.
• Design and operate cloud-native systems with scalable architectures and robust failure handling.
• Collaborate with product and design to define roadmap and architecture and ensure secure, high-quality user experiences.
• Mentor teammates through code reviews, design discussions, and crisp documentation; promote engineering excellence.
