Job summary

Silverside is seeking an AI Principal Engineer in New York to own architecture and technical direction for the NY engineering pod. This hands-on role focuses on designing, building, and scaling AI-driven video and content pipelines and agentic workflows.

The ideal candidate is a strong senior individual contributor with 4–7 years of experience, mentoring others, and clear communication in client and internal meetings. Prior VP experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 4–7 years of full-stack experience building production AI/video systems.
• Strong backend with Python and modern frameworks; capable in APIs/services.
• Experience mentoring engineers and increasing code quality and testing.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and technical direction for the NY engineering pod.
• Architect and build scalable full-stack apps powering AI-driven pipelines.
• Integrate AI/ML models and generation APIs into production workflows.
• Set development standards, testing practices, and deployment discipline.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to ship features.
• Optimize performance and scalability for high-volume media workloads.
• Present architecture decisions in internal and client meetings.
• Partner with leadership on technical prioritization and platform evolution.
