Job summary

Tenex is seeking an AI Strategist to blend consulting with product management, shaping problems into requirements and guiding rollout and adoption. You’ll work directly with executives and front-line teams, running discovery, defining success, and delivering AI-enabled workflows with engineering partners.

You’ll own business requirements and product direction while building prototypes and automations using AI and low-code tools to test ideas and clarify needs.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in consulting, strategy, operations, product management, or workflow design.
• You’ve changed how a team works and can explain what you changed, why you made those decisions, and what happened.
• You can turn an unclear business problem into requirements, priorities, and a practical delivery plan.
• You use AI tools daily to build things and solve problems. Your experience might include Claude, Cowork, ChatGPT, Cursor, Lovable, or Zapier/n8n.
• You ask good questions and follow up when an answer is vague. You’re comfortable learning how a business works from both its leaders and its frontline teams.
• You can translate client needs into work an engineer can act on, and explain technical decisions to someone without an engineering background.
• You take responsibility for outcomes, move work forward without detailed instructions, and respond thoughtfully to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Understand how the client works by interviewing teams and mapping processes.
• Decide what’s worth building, assess business value, and help clients start.
• Define the product by turning discovery into requirements, priorities, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead the client relationship with executive discussions and clear recommendations.
• Work with engineers to deliver, test prototypes, and build AI/low-code automations where useful.
• Own adoption: plan rollouts, train users, gather feedback, and track results.
• Share learnings by turning engagements into playbooks for other teams.
