Job summary

AIToolboard is seeking an AI Solutions Engineer in a hybrid role based in Washington, DC. The candidate will build, integrate, and operationalize advanced AI capabilities across enterprise cloud environments, leveraging AWS and Azure AI stacks.

The role emphasizes data readiness, LLMs, vector databases, and scalable, secure AI systems for government and commercial clients. Requires 10+ years of engineering experience and 2–3+ years with LLMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering or system development experience.
• 1+ years hands-on experience with LLMs and AI/ML systems.
• Proficiency in Python and API integration, prompt engineering, and vector DB interaction.
• Experience building AI solutions using AWS and/or Azure AI services.

Responsibilities

• Serve as developers and solution architects for AI initiatives.
• Hands-on coding, model integration, and system deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for data preparation and delivery.
• Monitor, assess, and refine AI solutions based on business feedback.
• Achieve client-defined performance, reliability, and scalability objectives.
• Document enablement and knowledge transfer for sustainability of AI initiatives.
• Design and implement agent-based task flows, including prompt chaining and vector DB integration.
• Build and deploy AI applications leveraging Claude 3.5+, HuggingFace models, and other foundation models.
• Develop and maintain scalable and secure AI environments in AWS and Azure.
• Prepare and align enterprise data to support robust AI data ecosystems.
• Integrate and operationalize services such as AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, OpenSearch; Azure OpenAI Service, AI Studio, Data Factory.
