Job summary

Coursera seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join a fast-moving AI-focused engineering team delivering enterprise and campus solutions. You will prototype, deploy, and productionize AI-enabled workflows in customer environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote-ready, globally distributed setup.

You’ll own end-to-end engagements from scoping to go-live, including security, data residency, and multi-tenant deployments. Regular travel to customer sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with backend and cloud infra
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Typescript and modern tech stack
• Experience with multi-tenant and hybrid deployment patterns
• Knowledge of identity, encryption, and secure networking practices
• Customer-facing work and travel to client sites should you engage with customers

Responsibilities

• Scope customer environments with sponsors and IT/data owners
• Prototype and demo solutions in real time for customers
• Bridge between customer and core engineering to productionize prototypes
• Design deployments with data residency, privacy, and security in mind
• Own CI/CD, observability, and production support in customer environments
• Identify patterns to inform product roadmaps
• Collaborate with Product/AI/Program Managers to scope problems
• Travel regularly for discovery, prototyping, and go-live phases
