Job summary

Total Performance Consulting seeks a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge engineering, product, and marketing. You will architect AI-powered solutions and ship production systems that deliver measurable impact for a healthcare-focused client.

The role requires strong autonomy: interpret requirements, ask the right questions, and own end-to-end architecture while collaborating with non-technical stakeholders. Expect a blend of frontend and backend work with cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience with Python or a comparable backend language and frontend capability.
• Proficient with Claude Code as a primary development workflow.
• Demonstrated experience deploying AI-powered applications or automation into production.
• Experience with LLM APIs, Claude as primary platform, and multiple models.
• Software architecture experience; able to design systems rather than only implement.
• Understanding REST APIs, webhooks, databases, SQL, and cloud environments.
• Experience with production software development, Git, Docker, and CI/CD.
• Able to translate marketing objectives into technical solutions for consumer marketing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications, agents, and automation systems.
• Work with marketing, product, and business teams to translate workflows into technical solutions.
• Interpret requirements and drive the technical approach with minimal direction.
• Own architecture decisions across systems, data, and AI components.
• Build AI agents, RAG systems, tool-calling workflows, and LLM-powered apps.
• Develop backend services, APIs, webhooks, integrations, and data pipelines.
• Create data workflows with Snowflake, PostgreSQL, SQL, and ETL/ELT tools.
• Integrate AI with CRMs, marketing platforms, and analytics tools.
• Develop internal tools and dashboards using React/Next.js/TypeScript.
• Deploy and maintain production systems with AWS or GCP, Docker, CI/CD, GitHub Actions.
• Prototype rapidly, gather feedback, and iterate toward production-ready solutions.
• Collaborate with consumer marketing teams to improve acquisition and retention.
• Analyze data to identify AI opportunities and monitor LLM performance.
