Job summary

SambaNova Systems seeks a Senior Principal AI Solutions Engineer to set the technical direction for our solutions portfolio while still building. You will lead hands‑on engagements across the AI stack, mentor the team and turn customer problems into production‑ready agentic apps.

Responsibilities include designing multi‑agent architectures, creating self‑improving loops, and ensuring observability and cost‑effective performance for enterprise customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS, electrical engineering, applied math, physics, statistics or related field.
• 8+ years in software, ML or solutions engineering; 3+ years building production LL/M applications.
• Proven experience building agentic systems with tool and function calling and multi‑agent orchestration.
• Hands‑on with open‑weight models: serving, prompting, fine‑tuning (LoRA/PEFT).
• Strong full‑stack skills: Python plus TypeScript/React/Next.js, APIs and cloud deployment.
• Experience designing evals/benchmarks for LL model apps (quality, latency, cost).
• Excellent customer communication; ability to lead workshops and executives/engineers alike.
• Track record of technical leadership across teams; architecture direction and outcomes ownership.

Responsibilities

• Agentic AI Architecture: design/build single/multi‑agent systems with planning, memory, long workflows.
• Self‑Improving Systems: implement feedback loops, evals, prompts and production‑signal fine‑tuning.
• Evaluation and Observability: set up eval harnesses, tracing, guardrails to measure quality and cost.
• Open-Weight Model Expertise: select/adapt open models, perform LoRA/PEFT and routing.
• Model Integration: validate models on SambaNova platform and report gaps to Product/Engineering.
• Front‑End/Vertical Solutions: build usable web apps (React/Next.js) for knowledge workers.
• Lead with customers: drive technical discovery, workshops, co‑builds, and reference architectures.
• SambaStack Tooling: develop tooling for deployment, management and integration.
